My partner Andy and I have had a lifetime of looking after animals - dogs, many cats, rabbits even goats, geese and hens. (as well as children!) At the moment we have a 7 year old dog and a 10 year old indoor rabbit. We've cared for dogs in their own home - and in ours- for years. Because of our extensive experience with handling dogs we are very comfortable with all breeds and sizes. (our own dog, Marley is a collie cross but in recent years we've looked after German Shepherds, Pugs, Golden Retrievers, labradors, Malamutes, Poodles, Jack Russells, Lurchers, Manchester Terriers ....) Happy to meet your pet beforehand to make sure they are comfortable being around me, we'll take them for a trial walk too if that helps. We'd also walk them completely on their own, if preferred, to give them that extra individual attention...we always take balls and playthings on walks and love having fun with our charges so if your pet has any favourite games or particular needs we'd be extremely happy to accommodate them. We'd be pleased to pick up and return . And poo bags are provided - as well as treats, if you're happy with that. We'll let them off the leash with your permission and are very willing to take them to a safe, favourite spot of your choosing or ( if regularly walking them ) to vary the walks day by day (river/woods/fields etc.) We love walking in all winds and weathers! We usually bring towels to dry dogs on wet days and if it's ever too cold for your dog to go out , we can exercise and amuse them with games indoors if you don't want to cancel. Both Andy and I feel we have great empathy with animals and have looked after dogs of all temperaments from the wildly energetic to the most timid and anxious and are always ready to meet a new friend!
