I have had pets since I left home. Having grown up with spaniels, rabbits and guinea pigs. I currently have a 8yo German Shepherd. We also have cats, snakes, and a gecko. To be able to share the love and care for someone else's pets would make me feel honoured. We have a variety of pets at home so to care for anything would not worry me, even if it means feeding live insects as we did for our bearded dragon.
