Growing up with a small, family-run kennel for most of my life, I have immeasurable experience and undying love for dogs. I truly see dogs as man's best friend and feel extremely comfortable handling and spending time with them. As my own dogs back home in Finland are trained exclusively for hunting purposes, not to say they aren't full members of my family, I understand that a dog needs a lot of time, attention and exercise to be truly happy. My handling of dogs is based on three principles; being consistent, firm when needed and giving lots of positive reinforcement. As a student at the moment, I miss having a pet constantly and feel that I have the necessary time and energy to look after one around the clock with no disturbances. I am mostly used to larger dogs, such as retrievers and huskies, but also have experience and equal admiration for any smaller tail-waggers. I tend to go jogging frequently and I am used to the extensive need for exercise that especially a larger dog requires daily. I proud myself in being very responsible and ensure that any pets needs will be met individually and with my fullest dedication. I am free all day-long with only two mandatory university appointments a week (max 3 hours at a time), which means that I can be very flexible with my timetable and available whenever needed.
