She loves dogs and took very good care of my doggie. The house is spacious and clean and the neighborhood is lovely with a backyard that is good for doggies to play - the entire family seems to love dogs and i felt my doggie was def cared for and fell in love with them.

Spyroulla looked after my dogs while I was away and although my dogs are home and happy I was left disappointed with the experience. When we met with Spyroulla the house was clean and comfortable, the garden was well cared for and I inspected it closely as one of my dogs is a real Houdini. I explained the areas I was concerned about and I was reassured that they would be fixed when my dogs went to stay. I was very impressed that when I took my dogs for their stay the holes in the fencing were not just patched up but properly fixed and so totally secure. I explained everything to Spyroulla and she took notes of what I was saying. We were not in a rush and so there was plenty of time for her to ask questions etc. I was slightly surprised to be contacted by her only minutes after leaving as she was unsure of something that I had told her about, again that evening I was contacted again with a question that had been answered. Spyroulla told me she would send lots of videos and photos, she also told me that my dogs would be well walked, she lives very close to a large park that has ample space and she said her father liked to walk dogs too. In reality she only once or twice sent me photos or videos or any updates without me asking her specifically for them. My houdini dog has a GPS tracker and so I was able to see where she had been, I didn't check daily but whenever I did I was surprised by how short a walk they had had, often using only a small area of the large local park. One of my dogs is still a puppy and I explained that she is pretty reliable with toilet training but that she might have the occasional accident, especially at the start when she was unsure of where she was and where she was meant to go. Spyroulla contacted me during my holiday to say that both of my dogs were repeatedly toileting inside the house, something that I found very surprising. My older dog does not toilet inside and never has, even as a tiny puppy. I was concerned they were unhappy or stressed but was reassured that they were fine. Spyroulla was kind enough to send me photos of said accidents as if to prove what she was saying. The tone of her messages were quite confrontational, she demanded that I pay her money for wipes that she was using to clean up these accidents, I explained that wipes were not adequate to clean them up but she was adamant that I paid her for them. Considering the amount of money that I was paying her to look after my dogs I found this shocking, I felt very upset about it, I was in a foreign country and unable to return home and I was worried that she was taking out her anger that was coming through on her messages, out on my dogs. In the end I went on Amazon and ordered some specific dog cleaning products to be delivered on the same day to Spyroulla. This cost me over £20 and was not a cost I had expected to have to pay but it did seem to appease her. While Spyroulla appears to be a very nice person I feel that she appears to be inexperienced when it comes to dog care, and I do question her motivation for dog sitting. I also discovered that Holidog take absolutely no responsibility for the dog sitters on their books, they do not vet or check them in any way and there is no support for an owner who is concerned about their dog during their stay.

We left Tyson with Spyroulla for 18 days. She together with her family were simply amazing. They took care of him and showered him with love. He enjoyed walks every morning and walks in the park nearby... She always sent us regular updates with pics and videos of him, so we were at ease and after a few days, I felt completely satisfied that he was well looked after and cared for..and so therefore could relax and enjoy my holiday! I would thoroughly recommend Spyroulla as she has a genuine love for dogs and treats them just like her own. She is very committed and pays particular attention to the needs of your dog.
